5AM has held prime contracts with the NCI’s Center for Bioinformatics and Information Technology’s (CBIIT) General Contractor SAIC-Frederick since July 2006, and has served HHS/Office of the National Coordinator and their Nationwide Health Information Network since 2008. 5AM began at CBIIT by working with a national group of Cancer Centers and Institute stakeholders to design the next generation of caArray – a downloadable, web-based array data management system that supports the annotation and exchange of microarray data over the web or through sophisticated rich programmatic application programming interfaces (APIs) that allow analytical tools to visualize and analyze the data.
