Vernon Saunders is VP/General Manager of Jacobs FNS as of April 1, 2015. As VP/General Manager, Vern is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all FNS programs. Vern is a seasoned and solutions-oriented IT Executive with more than 25 years’ experience translating complex and divergent enterprise needs and available technological resources into innovative, high-impact business solutions. He has a proven record of success shaping IT strategies, building and leading global high-performance teams, and executing technology initiatives that deliver immediate results and sustainable gains.
Prior to his current assignment, Vern served as the VP/Deputy General Manager and Executive Director of Advanced Programs. In this capacity Vern had full P&L responsibility for a 10-year $5B program providing full Enterprise Information Technology support to a Federal Government customer. Over a 13 year span supporting the Advanced Programs customer, Vern held and successfully led virtually every Senior Management position in the Advanced Programs business area. He has extensive experience leading large service delivery, operations and maintenance and advanced engineering organizations.
Vern began his career with the United States Army Reserve in 1989 as a radio repairman in a Logistics Detachment in Fort Story, Virginia. In 1994 he was further commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Mr. Saunders served honorably and enjoyed permanent party assignments at Nellis Air Force Base and the Pentagon in addition to numerous temporary duty assignments. Vern left the military for a career in Federal Network Systems in June of 2000.
Brendan Harris is Division Vice President and Deputy General Manager for Jacobs National Security Solutions, and has been with Jacobs just over one year. Prior to Jacobs, Brendan was a senior Air Force officer, retiring as Deputy Director of the Mission Integration Directorate at the NRO, but having served for more than 23 years as an intelligence officer working at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels, and commanding a training group and an intelligence squadron. He is a PMP, holds three Master’s Degrees, and is a Graduate of the USAF Weapons School. He and Becky, his wife of 18 years, have two teenage children attending Robinson Secondary School in Burke: a son who’s a sophomore and a daughter who’s a freshman.
Gus Tomé has over 17 years of IT engineering and critical system design experience, including 11 years as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As Blue Canopy’s acting CTO, Gus is a main cyber innovator and strategist highly experienced in the design, deployment, and management of secure networking architectures. Gus’s efforts helped grow Blue Canopy’s cybersecurity revenue from $0 to $60M in 7 years. He is a major contributor and author of several patents focused on trusted operations, embedded devices hardening, and Next Gen Cyber tools. He holds over a dozen professional certifications, including CISSP, CEH and CISM.
Meaghan Carter brings over 15 years of federal consulting experience with specialized expertise in managing large and highly complex projects. Meaghan is Blue Canopy’s Account Lead and Program Manager for the U.S. Treasury’s award-winning, government-wide shared service offering, the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Program. She oversees over 500 software releases a year using a 100% Agile SCRUM methodology. In 2008, Meaghan was recognized as one of the top “30 Under 30” in the consulting industry and made the FCW Fed100 List in 2017. Meaghan holds CSM, PMP, and ITIL certifications.
As the new Intelligence Community & Department of Defense(IC & DOD) Business Unit Leader, Michael Cudmore brings a wealth of knowledge in his 30 years of service with Jacobs. Responsible for approximately 40 IC & DOD programs, including specialized Engineering services, Operations & Maintenance, Software support and Information Assurance, Mike is always on contract site working with his government customers and employees. His dedication to Jacobs and his team(s) are reflected in his tenure with the company.
Prior to his role of BU Leader, Mike has been Director of Advanced Programs II (AP II), where he oversaw a team of over 700 employees with work valued over $400 million annually. He has also served as Program Manager for the global installation and maintenance support contract for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
Mike earned his Bachelor's in Information Systems Management from UMUC. He is a certified Project Management Professional and a Six Sigma Green Belt. He lives in Bel Air, MD with his wife Brenda. They have three daughters as well as a new granddaughter.
Timothy Crocker officially joined Jacobs on April 24th 2017 as Chief Strategic Officer. He is responsible for expanding the company’s business within the Intelligence Community, with a focus on growth and client satisfaction. Tim is a seasoned, solutions-oriented IT Executive with more than 30 years of experience. He has translated complex enterprise needs and available technological resources into innovative, high-impact business solutions with a proven record of success shaping IT strategies, building and leading global high-performance teams, and executing technology initiatives that deliver immediate results.
Tim culminated his 30-year career in the Federal Government by serving as an office director in the CIA’s Information Technology Enterprise. He began his career with the CIA as a Field Engineer, and progressed steadily into the ranks of senior management. He has leadership experience across the IT infrastructure disciplines, with both appropriated and working capital funding models. Tim managed and led the CIA's enterprise IT infrastructure organization that was responsible for full life cycle management of global network services and operations, as well as maintenance of all field IT services. He was responsible for thousands of employees, with a budget in the hundreds of millions per year.
Tim holds a Master’s in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He lives in Haymarket, Virginia with his wife Holly and their five children.
Tami Brennan joined NSS in August 2017 as Director, Intelligence Community Programs upon retiring from federal civilian service as a senior executive with extensive experience across a broad array of intelligence and information technology programs. In her current role she will focus on oversight of existing Intelligence Community and other federal government programs and business growth as a leader in the National Security Programs business unit.
Prior to her current role at Jacobs Tami was an executive manager of Global IT Service Delivery in the Central Intelligence Agency. Her federal career spanned four decades and included key roles leading global IT network operations, service delivery, network security, and organizational change. Tami has championed efficiency in operations through the responsible application of sound IT principles balanced with thoughtful personnel management. A hallmark of her federal career was the accomplishment of several major organizational change initiatives involving hundreds of employees while maintaining 24x7 availability of critical global IT network operations.
