BLUE CANOPY SUPPORTS THE LAUNCH OF FIRST EVER US TRAVEL AND TOURISM PORTAL

Reston, VA – Blue Canopy, a leading consulting and information technology firm focused on compliance and enterprise performance management services today announces they have successfully launched the United States´ first-ever official travel and tourism portal. This portal has been successfully launched in the five leading international travel markets.

In conjunction with the Travel Industry Association (TIA) this multi-language portal to promote the U.S. as a premier destination was built in a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce. This exciting project includes many partners including several of the State Tourism Offices and Convention and Visitors Bureaus, American Express, Travelocity, Yahoo! and Fodor´s. The portal maintains a set of websites aimed at markets that account for roughly 75 percent of the international inbound travel market.

Blue Canopy served as the technical lead integrator to define and develop the travel destination portal to and the initial deployment in 5 languages.
