Director, National Security
Mr. William Walker serves as a Director of Army Programs in Blue Canopy´s Federal Practice. He brings 35 years of DoD life cycle systems and software engineering support, management and innovation experience for federal government customers, supporting the Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) community and U.S. Army military units . He joined Blue Canopy in 2010, as a manager for multiple C4ISR support engineering services tasks.
Prior to joining Blue Canopy, Mr. Walker had numerous DoD leadership roles at CECOM Fort Monmouth NJ and CECOM Fort Huachuca AZ, managing and coordinating the life cycle support activities for multiple U.S. Army tactical systems. His vision, supporting rationale and efforts resulted in establishing and evolving CECOM Post Production Software Support concepts and activities, such as the current, large scale Army Material Command (AMC) C4ISR Field Support Engineer (FSE) concept supporting multiple fielded Army tactical systems. As a Deputy Program Manager with Northrop Grumman Corp, his efforts resulted in multiple large contract awards for establishing and managing systems and software engineering support for Army ISR programs, and for the establishment of US Army Europe - 7th Army Command and Control (C2) Field Software Engineering Services, supporting in theater operational needs.
Mr. Walker is a DoD Certified Acquisition Professional (Level III) for Communications-Computer Systems.
