Mr. Kenneth Hennon serves as the Director of Test Engineering and Quality Assurance where he is responsible for establishing and managing the core Test Engineering/ Test Automation and Quality Assurance competencies supporting Blue Canopy's client base and corporate needs. His focus is on providing a proven and repeatable/ standardized approach to improving processes by implementing both commercial and government best practices and process improvement methods in the full software development lifecycle, with an emphasis on testing, Configuration Management, and Quality Assurance. These best practices include Requirements Analysis and Management, Configuration Management, Test Management, Test Automation, Defect Tracking and Reporting, and Project and Portfolio Management.
Mr. Hennon has over 30 years of experience in program management and the software life cycle, including development, quality assurance, configuration management (hardware/software), testing, data management, computer hardware operations and maintenance, property tracking and project administration and control.
Prior to joining Blue Canopy, Mr. Hennon worked for ABSI Compass as the Director of the Centers of Excellence. In this capacity, he was responsible for establishing and managing the Centers of Excellence for Test Engineering and Automation, Configuration Management, and Quality Assurance services organization; and for supporting various government agencies and contracts. He was also responsible for re-architecting and implementing DIA’s Independent Test Authority (ITA) when the responsibility was migrated to the DC metro area.
Mr. Hennon has established, and managed Centers of Excellence for Test Engineering and Automation for multiple companies, supporting U.S. Federal client base, and world-wide commercial clients. He has also identified cost saving approaches to DIA and commercial clients related to enterprise level licensing, managing tool licenses across their corporate infrastructures, along with standardizing Government and corporate approaches in support of testing to shorten the timelines associated with testing, gaining not only re-use of products but knowledge transfer between internal organizations.
