As a Partner within Blue Canopy’s Federal Civilian Practice Ms. Kurz brings over 14 years of experience in Federal consulting where she has focused her efforts on efficient and effective delivery of custom built IT solutions, primarily focusing on grants, financial and HR management. Currently, Ms. Kurz serves as the Deputy Program Manager for the IT Business Solutions team supporting the National Science Foundation (NSF), a Grants Management Line of Business (GMLoB) service provider. As the Deputy Program Manager, Ms. Kurz is responsible for ensuring consistent and efficient delivery practices across 150+ resources, 25+ teams and 3 different geographic locations, specifically focusing on quality, risk, financial and resource management. In addition to her responsibilities as the Deputy Program Manager, Ms. Kurz served as the Project Manager for the highly visible implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) project.
Prior to joining Blue Canopy, Ms. Kurz was a Senior Manager in BearingPoint's Federal Services - Grants Management Solutions Group. Ms. Kurz supported a variety of agencies such as the US Postal Service, Department of Housing and Urban Development, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Department of Defense.
Ms. Kurz holds a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, both from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). Additionally, she is a Certified Grants Management Specialists (CGMS) and is certified in ITILv3 Foundations. Ms. Kurz is a member of the National Grants Management Association (NGMA).
