Enterprise Integration
Serving as the technical lead in moving the Bureau of Public Debt move to a new computing architecture utilizing a multi-tier application architecture. Blue Canopy developed a Java framework to streamline the development of Employee Portals supporting online purchasing and account management for Treasury customers. In addition Blue Canopy developed key components of their new Java framework. The framework was designed to exploit message queuing; enterprise directories such as JNDI/ LDAP; XML; and, Enterprise JavaBean and J2EE technologies.
Working with Avendra, Blue Canopy crafted an enterprise IT strategy to enable Avendra to realize their strategic corporate goals and initiatives. In addition Blue Canopy was responsible for the complete lifecycle (conception to deployment) of several of the application development projects.
Blue Canopy reengineered e-RL´s existing reverse auction and fullfillment application to a more current and open technology base. The entire system was rearchiteted as well including all data models and infrastructure. This not only significantly improved the system but also providing full documentation for the users, administrators and programmers. Additionally Blue Canopy provided total support to the client including hosting, maintenance and upgrades for the new application. Over all effort, in addition to rebuilding the application using the latest Java based technologies.
Blue Canopy led a team of engineers to take Textrons existing applications and migrate them over to a consoliddated environment and architecture. Initally all legacy applications had to be stabilized and all existing bugs remedied. Utilizing an IBM Websphere environment all staging and production architectures were deployed and the applications ported over to the new environments.
Working with AT&T Consumer Business, Blue Canopy developed their customer-facing web architecture, front end interactive websites and associated applications. This entirely new web front-end to att.com and associated architectures, enriched AT&T´s interactions with its customers while allowing AT&T to interact with its existing legacy systems.
